1/87 M1 ABRAMS früh mit 105 mm Kanone, Arsenal M 224100201

This old Roco kit falls into the class of a do it your self build as when Roco decided to build it they put the correct turret in the box. When they decided to make a newer version, they changed it. All that is left, is the M-1A1 turret an d that has to be modified back into the original model turret by filling in the hole for the CC/ thermal sight and cutting the extended stowage back to the correct size. This is all that is required , and I found this to be an easy conversion. Hardest problem was the three blast doors at the rear of the turret. only some one with an original Roco #352 can appreciate. Last trac segment is also to be adjusted, but I prefer to leave this alone as it was changed after a short while to what the kit has. None the less, it is the only m-1 out there so just refer to this heads up when building it.
